night quotes section 5 and 6

"All creation bears witness to the greatest of god" (wiesel 75).
This shows foreshadowing when they stop beleiving in god and everything gets worse. This was a powerful phrase because people that said this were forced for bad luck and will eventually die because alot of people lost hope early.
"Your crushing me......mercy! mercy!" (wiesel 99)
This is foreshadowing because eventually hitlers plan is to crush everyone and rule the world with his perfect race, the aryans. The quote is said by the guy that wants elie's crown and beats his father till he gets it. So unfortunately he deservered what happened.

Chapter 3 Night

"Let the world learn of the existence of Auschwitz. Let everybody hear about it, while they can still escape..." (Wiesel 40).
A young man screamed this as they are trying to revolt against the Germans. This quote really speaks to me because people who are dieing are trying to warn other people to save their lives since these people never heard of it because anyone who goes there never leaves to tell anyone else.
"Humanity? Humanity is not concerned with us. Today anything is allowed. Anything is possible, even these crematories...." (Wiesel 42).
Elie's father was talking to elie about why they do these things to people. This quote is almost the theme of the book because humanity is not was it was before the Holocaust after this happened humanity became corrupt thus the great depression happened.

Night Analysis (section 1-2)

"The yellow star? Oh well, what of it? You don't die of it...." (Elie 20).
The star is more than what this quote gives it. it is a symbol of which person is a Jew and which Jew is faithful to the star. Elie is just a kid so he thinks the star is nothing but the star means alot to the Jews.

"They take me for a madman" (Elie 17).
Moche is telling Elie about how everyone is mad at him for drawing to much attention. This is when everyuone is in denial about the Holocaust thinking that it will be over soon so nothing will happen to them but they are wrong. Foreshadowing is found in this quote because after they get deported you can see that he is not a madman and is truthful of everything he said.
